Stories / Quotes:

Families: 45
Water committee: 4 men and 6 women

The people in the village were filled with joy and gratitude, their faces shining with hope. Before the well arrived, they had to walk half a kilometer to fetch water from a river that was polluted, running down from the city. There was another well about a kilometer away, but it had been broken for some time, leaving the community with few options.

Since the new well was installed just a few weeks ago, the transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. Cholera and diarrhea, which once plagued the village, have almost disappeared. The health of the people has drastically improved, and it’s clear that this simple change has made a huge difference.

Home life has become easier as well. With water readily available, women no longer need to trek long distances or wait for a turn to fetch water. They can access it anytime, making their daily routines less exhausting and more manageable.

School attendance has risen by nearly 30%, with children now able to attend regularly without the burden of fetching water. The community is more united and healthier than ever, and they’re already taking steps to protect their new water source. They’ve put plans in place to ensure the well is maintained, securing the future of this newfound blessing for generations to come.
