Water committee: 4 men and 6 women

The women are happy to be on the committee.

“We have never had gardens before the water well. Our ancestors came here in 1931. There is a salty water well one km away at the school. But this water is sweet and good. So far no more diarrhea. We had no option but to drink the salty water. This was used by so many people. There was a bit across the dangerous highway. No more family fights. Peace.”

They used to get so sick from diarrhea, but now they feel so good.

They now get around 5 buckets a day.

At first, it was hard for them to even take care of the livestock, but now they are able to give water to livestock and produce more. Their goats and chickens are able to breed more and are healthier. The chickens are producing more and better eggs.

The school kids were going late and weren’t able to study because they were so tired. Now, all the children go on time or early and regularly. They want their children to be pilots, doctors, lawyers, members of parliament, police, etc.
