“The water is sweet and close to home. We fought at Mua River. Now, no cholera and no diarrhea. We’ve had people die from cholera. Kids go to school, and we pay fees. The school is very far. The distance is NOT the major problem- it is the water.
We have gardens. We build houses. MK4,600 transportation to the clinic 3 to 4 times a month. On average, we pay MK10,000 for treatment especially during the rainy season. The rivers are full and it’s hard to get to the clinic.”
