We’re excited to share with you that the Blossom Project at M’bawa School is a complete success! This significant initiative by Water Wells for Africa (WWFA) has greatly enhanced the school’s sanitation facilities, addressing critical hygiene needs.
In honor of Menstrual Hygiene Day (May 28), we’re especially proud to highlight how this project supports girls’ dignity, health, and education through improved menstrual hygiene access.
Prior to our intervention, M’bawa School struggled with inadequate sanitation, forcing students to use unsafe temporary toilets and even the surrounding bushes. WWFA has changed this by constructing modern hygiene rooms, boys’ toilets, and staff toilets, providing a safe and dignified environment for all students.
In a short time, this project already has documented success with increased school attendance and a renewed sense of hope within the community. The new facilities ensure that students, especially girls, can attend school regularly without compromising their health and safety.
