Chair: Nazone Kachingwe: “We have never had clean water. We are the first in the area to have a borehole. We couldn’t believe we would have water. It took one week to build a road. Our families are happy; we were sharing water with animals. Now we have peace. Water builds families. Our wives left home at 2:00 am. Now they come anytime. Not one person was affected in this area in the cholera epidemic. We would go to the clinic two or three times a month. Now we can save money.”

Treasurer: Caroline Mkhiva: “Now we are living the life we were supposed to live. The life we could only dream about. We can sleep in; we can bathe in buckets and our husbands don’t beat us anymore. We have home hygiene, our food is better, and our little kids can go to preschool. All of our children are going to school. We no longer go to the clinic except for malaria. We all bought goats to raise for extra money.”
