Pre-Borehole Notes

The previous main sources of water were shallow wells along the rivers.

Difficulties these villagers faced:

• No safe clean water.
• Water was dirty and people were getting diarrhea. About 25 people this year get diarrhea in 2020 alone.
• Women spend a lot of time at the current water source and they don’t have time to do household chores.
• Families were having problems because most men were suspicious of their wives because they were spending  a lot of time at the water source.
• They were sharing water sources with baboons and monkeys.
