Happy World Water Day!

We've been sharing with you about the life of Suwema. Yesterday, you saw the hole in the ground where she used to get water. But once your WWFA team verified the situation, with the help of WWFA donors, we installed a brand new water well!

Now it’s all smiles that tell a story of gratitude from Suwema and all the people of her village. They are so thankful for the precious gift of a water well which is transforming their lives.

Please donate any gift -- however big or small -- to give other women like Suwema a reason to smile!

We told you about Suwema and her difficult life wi We told you about Suwema and her difficult life without clean, close water. Recently, our Malawi team followed Suwema to her and her village’s water source. Our team verified that this source was woefully inadequate.

Suwema used to trek almost a mile to get to this water that's a shallow ditch along the river!

The problems that come from not having a healthy and abundant water source are many. Not only is there the problem of time spent getting to and from the water point, the water is not clean so many health issues arise. There are bigger problems such as delayed community development like building houses, schools, and other structures (water is needed to make bricks).

Tomorrow, we’ll let you know what happened to Suwema and Mteleleka Village!

We want to celebrate the benefits of providing wat We want to celebrate the benefits of providing water & changing lives through WWFA by sharing with you the encouraging story of 30-year-old Suwema from Mteleleka-Zale village.

When we met her, things weren’t so great. She told us that she was always short of time for household chores due to the amount of time spent fetching water. She was sad, too, because she couldn’t bathe as often as she liked. In the West, we don’t have these problems…

Stay tuned and we’ll show you where she used to get her water!
